Aftercare
Getting a tattoo doesn’t end when you leave the studio — proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and lasts a lifetime.
At Stupid Love, we care about your skin as much as your art. Following the right steps during the healing process helps preserve the detail, color, and overall quality of your tattoo.
Here’s everything you need to know to take care of your new piece.

Second Skin
We use a protective film called second skin to help your tattoo heal safely. It acts as a barrier against bacteria while allowing your skin to breathe.
Keep the second skin on for about 5 days. It’s normal to see some fluid buildup (ink and plasma) under the film — this is part of the natural healing process.
If the film starts to peel or feels uncomfortable, you can gently remove it and continue the healing process with regular aftercare.
Healing Process
Once you remove the film, wash your tattoo gently with warm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with a clean towel—don’t rub.
Apply a thin layer of unscented lotion, and keep your skin moisturized while it heals.
